Leader of Enlightened Christian Gathering [ECG] Church, Prophet Shephered Bushiri and his wife Mary, have fulfilled one of their prophecies made that when a prudent or righteous man sees trouble, he has to run away.
In the prophecy, Bushiri said what makes a man, is the ability to sense danger when trouble, problem and danger come, one must know how to escape from it but the foolish when they see trouble, they stay there.
One of social media writers, Henry Kachaje has described circumstances that led Prophet Bushiri and his wife to sneak out of South Africa with no one knows how he has managed as The Great Escape quoting the Holy Bible, Acts 9:23-25.
…”After many days had gone by, there was a conspiracy among the Jews to kill him, but Saul listened of their plan. Day and night they kept close watch on the city gates in order to kill him, but his followers took him by night and lowered him in a basket through an opening the wail,” writes Kachaje.
Prophet Shepherd and Mary Bushiri, were granted bail in South Africa on condition that they confine themselves to Gauteng province, where they are answering charges of fraud and money laundering. Theie escape has left the South African government in deep shock and has made some believe that Malawi President, Dr. Lazarus Chakwera’s, visit to South Africa was a plot to smuggle Prophet Shephered Bushiri and his wife, Mary back to their native country, Malawi.
BBC’s Nomsa Maseko asked Malawi’s Minister of Foreign Affairs if Government will extradite Prophet Bushiri back to South Africa to face justice, and they responded by saying it is the duty of the Government to protect all Malawians adding that Dr. Lazarus Chakwera is a staunch advocate of the rule of law and that all the diplomatic channels will remain open.
However, in a statement released after his arrival in Malawi on Wednesday, Prophet Bushiri said he has requested the Malawi Government to ensure the issues about his arrests in South Africa are met and once assured of a fair, just and impartial, he will willing to avail himself before the South African justice system.
…”I am looking forward to that day because I and my wife have long awaited to prove our innocence and clear our names,’’ said Bushiri in a statement.
Prophet Bushiri said he is temporarily in his country, Malawi, due to safety and security issues arising since 2015, but the matter got worse after they were granted bail, saying there have been clear and evident attempts to have him, his wife and family killed.
He said despite several attempts to report this to the South African authorities, there has never been state protection, hence their coming to Malawi is a tactical withdraw to preserve their lives.
