South Africa based Malawian billionaire Prophet, Shepherd Bushiri, says Malawians need to stop glorifying everything western and branding their home-grown successes as ‘fake and satanic’.
The leader of the Enlightened Christian Gathering (ECG) was speaking in Lilongwe on Thursday at a press conference ahead of his Global Prophetic Crusade to be held at the Bingu National Stadium this Saturday.
Bushiri said Malawians should appreciate each other’s successes and be willing to learn from such experiences if the country is to move forward.
Bushiri sadly noted that Malawians always say negative things against their fellows who are successful.
“If we begin to have that mentality of believing in ourselves, believing in our ideas or something produced by Malawians, we are ready to grow. Otherwise, we are not doing fine at all. Every Malawian who is doing well is either called a Satanist, corrupt or something evil but I think we needed to learn from each other, ” Bushiri declared.
He added: “Many churches in this country were brought by White missionaries. And Malawians believed them. We welcomed these churches and believed everything they told us.
“Malawians have reached a point of believing that these are the only true churches because they came with whites. Every Malawian who starts his own church is fought against”.
His remarks come in the wake of a series of speculations making rounds on social media, describing Bushiri as a fake prophet and Satanist.
He also took time to dismiss social media reports linking him to politics, saying this was propaganda from his destractors.
He said such allegations are smacking of character assassination and violating freedom of worship.
Meanwhile, all is set for ECG to hold the much awaited historic crusade in Malawi at the Bingu National Stadium (BNS) in the capital Lilongwe.
The conference is part of the 2018/2019 Global Prophetic Tour which the Prophet launched in January 2018 following the 2017/2018 Crossover event at Africa’s largest soccer cathedral, FNB Stadium in Johannesburg, South Africa.
Through the Global Prophetic Tour, Prophet Bushiri is expected to meet his ECG’s 2018 goal of winning 2 Million Souls to Jesus Christ.
So far, the Prophet has already been to Kenya, Nigeria, Australia, South Sudan, USA, South Korea and several parts of South Africa.
