Chala FC Emerged As Winner in Zoya’s Bonanza

Emmanuel Siyeni Zowoya Bonanza has been finalised today, Sunday, November 15 2020 at Likuni boys ground in Lilongwe. In this finals’ match, Chala FC booted out Black Tigers in the Semi-finals through penalties and was crowned as winner after defeating Chigwiri Rangers with 3-2 goals.

Chigwiri Rangers set the ball rolling by scoring a goal against Chala FC through a penalty in the first half of the match.
By the end of first half Chala FC was leading with 2 goals to 1. In the second half the Rangers made some changes that saw the game almost end at draw. Chala FC miraculously gained momentum that had them score the winning goal, and the match ended at 3-2 in favour of Chala Fc.

Emmanuel Siyeni Zoya said that despite the challenges the Bonanza faced he was able to identify the hidden talent that would be need by elite league teams.

“I am so exited that we have reached the end of this Bonanza that started in October. Things have gone smoothly despite the Covid-19 pandemic

“We had Super League Coaches from Kamuzu Barracks, Sliver Stickers and Civo Service United come to see the hidden talent we have in remote area like here. Whenever they identify some players to be in their teams, they contact me to give them full details of a player.

“I should also pay special thanks to Bullets Coach Kalistal Pasuwa on how he has assisted me during this Bonanza though I cannot disclose all to the media,” Zoya said.

Zoya who was a former Nyasa Big Bullets and Civo Service United Center back defender tabled Mk200,000 for the teams to scramble. Chala FC has walked away with MK50,000 with a Jersey while Chigwiri Rangers received Mk40,000 with a Jersey as well.

The best goalkeeper has gone to Banard Chichero, Funiro Chikhoza has been nominated as best defender, Ndawona Robert has also crowned as best midfider while Tatenda M’balaka has been chosen as player of the tournament. Each of these players pocketed MK5,000.

Chala booted out Black Rangers in the semi-finals with 5-4 goals in the penalties shoot out and faced Chigwiri Rangers that had won against Bayne FC 2-0 in the semi-finals.
