Charity Shield Draw : Bullets To Face Eagles, Wanderers Take On Masters

Defending Champions Nyasa Big Bullets FC have been drawn to play Blue Eagles FC in this year’s Charity Shield Cup while Mighty Wanderers will take on Masters Security Services FC.
The games will be held at Kamuzu Stadium from 30th to 31st March 2018 with the aim to raise funds for charity works.
Four teams qualified to this year’s FAM Charity Shield Cup sponsored by Eco-Bank after clinching major throphies last season.
Blue Eagles beat Nyasa Big Bullets 1-0 to win Airtel Top8 Cup through Stuart Mbunge’s late penalty. Masters Security meanwhile, edged past Mighty Wanderers FC in last year’s Carlsberg Cup Final at Kamuzu Stadium curtsey of super substitute Sammy Phiri’s finish.
Mighty Wanderers book a place as they relied on Zicco Mkanda’s double who cancelled Mikel Tete and Victor Limbani goals before Yamikan Chester scored to give Mighty Wanderers victory over Silver Strikers in last season FISD Cup final.
Nyasa Big Bullets are in this year’s FAM Charity Shield after they won the TNM Super League.
The People Team will be aiming to defend Charity Shield as they managed to win it four times back to back since 2015.
Last season Nyasa Big Bullets defeated Kamuzu Barracks 2-0 before masacred Silver Strikers 3-0 at Bingu National Stadium.
