Nyasa Big Bullets fc started their pre-season tournament with a defeat as Feraviario de Nampula beat the TNM Super League Champions 2 – 1 to top the standings at Kamuzu Stadium in Blantyre.
Feraviario de Nampula took a early in the second half through Berito with a powerful volley.
Bullets play improved after coach Callisto Pasuwa made several changes after the goal they conceaded. He replaced Piliran Zonda, Amzeru Joseph and Dalitso Sailes with Henre Kabich, Mussa Manyenye and Precious Phiri but it was Rui Milambo who came off the bench to double the lead with a powerful low effort (77), before captain Yamikan Fodya scored from the spot as Nampula defender was penalised for a challenge on Collen Nkhulambe.
In early kickoff Mighty Wanderers beat Chicken Inn of Zimbabwe 1 – 0 curtsey of Mike Kaziputa’s 30metres drive.
Chicken Inn dominated the first half of the game with some good scoring opportunities but Mighty Wanderers were a lucky side as they scored from their first shot on target that came earlier in the second half.
After day one of the tournament Wanderers and ferraviario de Nampula tied with 3points but the Mozambican have scored more goals than the Lari Luban boys.
Nyasa Big Bullets have logged on third position while Zimbabwean team Chicken Inn stays at the bottom.
On Saturday Bullets will face Chicken Inn while Mighty Wanderers will date Ferraviario de Nampula.
