Nyasa Big Bullets FC have signed highly rated defender, Innocent Shema from Silver Strikers Reserve after snubbing Bankers promotion offer.
The 19 year old center back was the captain for the Young Bankers before joining the People’s Team on a free transfer last week.
Silver Striker sought to promote the Malawi Under 20 defender but their plans are over after the teenager agreed to join Bullets.
Shema played 9 games for Malawi Under17 and four times for Under20. He is expected to fill the gap left by Nickson Nyasulu who was promoted to the senior side.
Nyasa Big Bullets FC fans were in full praise to reserve side coach Enos Chatama for Shema’s deal and are expecting to see him promoted to the main team in the near future.
The talented defender played for Silver Strikers senior team several times during the preseason games before Lovemore Fazili sent him back to reserve team.
According to Shema, he decided join Bullets because they give chance to young players “You can go to big clubs and never get a chance but Nyasa Big Bullets always give a chance to their young players. I think it’s a good move for me”
“Many thanks for Bullets supporters for expressing their happiness after my arrival, I will work extra hard to impress them and the technical pannels for both reserve and senior team” he added
Only this year Nyasa Big Bullets FC have promoted five players from the reserve side. CEO for the People’s Team, Fleetwood Haiya revealed some months ago their plans to build a strong reserve side rather than relying on spending mega money for buying players.
