Kafoteka Threatens to Sue Timven Radio

The former Malawi National Team player, Elvis Kafoteka has threatened to Sue Timven Radio for alleged defamation.
The private owned Radio Station on Saturday morning – 27th April announced the news that world football governing body FIFA is investigating 9 former flames players including Kafoteka over the allegations of match fixing during Angola 2010 Africa Cup of Nations Tournament.
Few minutes after Timveni announced the news, Kafoteka accused The Sports Parliament crew for bringing fake news and tarnishing his image.
“Timven Radio your announcing that FIFA is investigating me over match fixing issue, I want to warn you I can sue you for character assassination. FIFA has website why you didn’t check there if they have written this story? Do you think you’re better than FIFA? This is madness” he posted on his Facebook page
The former ESCOM United right back further asked Timveni Radio to make corrections within 24 hours failing which he will not hesitate to seek legal redress to redeem his image.
“I’m giving you a day to correct this or if you have evidence that we collected money to fix the games inform FIFA or you and me will meet in your”
His former team mate Hellings Mwakasungula has already been slapped with a life ban on the same issue of Match Fixing during 2010 AFCON Finals in Angola.
