Malawi’s reggae maestro kings, the Black Missionaries, will this Friday, 5th July, the Independence Eve, perform at Linde motel in Mponela, Dowa.
The gig has been organised as one way of celebrating this year’s 55th Independence Anniversary under the theme… ” CELEBRATING OUR FREEDOM WITH PEACE, UNITY AND LOVE…”
Linde motel General Manager, Blessings Kakwera, said the motel is very prepared for this show ranging from security to customer hospitality, expressing hope that those who will come will see for themselves the difference.
Kakwera said the management is looking at this show as a marketing weapon for the motel considering that most people do not know about Linde at Mponela in Dowa.
The Black Missionaries lead vocalist, Anjiru Fumulani, said people should expect fireworks saying the show is geared to entertain all reggae lovers in Mponela and surrounding districts of Ntchisi, Kasungu , Dowa and Lilongwe.
Fumulani said they are bringing in to Mponela the whole battalion in parade of Ma Blacks including Anthony Makondetsa, Khozi Masimbe and Yanjanani Chumbu, among other artists.
He is urging all the reggae lovers to come in their large number and they will not forget this show.
According to Anjiru, reggae music fans are expected to sample out songs from Anthony Makondetsa… ” NDAGWIRA MBENDERA… and Kuimba 11 albums among others and promises to be massive.
The Black Missionaries ( Ma Blacks) show will start at 9 pm till dawn and will see patrons parting ways with K3000 at the door.
