Makawa wants to add to Masters squad

Master Security FC coach Abasi Makawa says he wants to add a couple of new faces to his squad before the close of the current transfer window.

The 2018 Carlsberg Cup champions have already lost the services of Nigerian forward Babatunde Adeboye who joined Mighty Wanderers on a free transfer earlier this month.

But with more than two months left to go until the transfer window slams shut Makawa has made clear he is eager to bring in and release more players In his team

“I have already asked the management to sign new players and am also planning to release underperformers” He told www.smashmw.com

Asked directly how many new signings he would like Makawa said “l would get three and axe five”

Francis Mkonda who has just won Player of The Season Award has been with a move away from the Area 36 outfit as Malawi’s top three clubs are fighting for his signature.

Makawa however is optimistic that Master can cope with the departures of Babatunde and Mkonda

“They are great players so its always sad to lose such players. But we must consider the the will of the players” said Makawa

He added : “if we lose the duo that’ll definitely give a chance to other players to expose themselves”
