The International Tennis Federation (ITF) has handed Tennis Association of Malawi a chance to host African Tennis Tournaments.
This has been said by ITF development officer, Tapiwa Masunga after the recent training camp and tournament at Lilongwe Golf Club which was organized by Lawn Tennis Association of Malawi.
Masunga who also visited Offices of Tennis stakeholders at Bingu National Stadium, said the country has enough facilities to host tournaments.”I would like to advice Malawi to apply for the hosting of African Tournaments since the country has an amazing morden sports facilities”
“BNS has strategically positional for the Association’s planned construction of the five tennis courts which is one of the main ITF requirements for the hosting tournaments” Masunga said.
She further reminded the Association to include more females in the upcoming July ITF coaching course as away of enhancing women empowerment.
On behalf of the coaches, Thompson Mtengula from Zomba, applauded the association for organizing the under 14 national training camp and for the support extended to the coaches throughout the training.
