The Malawi Congress Party ( MCP), has expressed optimistic that as from where the party is standing, the outcome of the tippex election results case is so predictable for it to start preparing for another voting Day for the President whom to them is none other than Dr. Lazarus Chakwera.
The party said in actual fact, the whole tripartite elections should have been declared null and void saying that would have been a fair verdict if Malawians want electoral justice to be seen prevailing.
The statement is contained in a letter addressed to Hon. Beza which is circulating on the social media by the MCP’s Publicity Secretary, Rev. Maurice Munthali.
In the letter, Rev. Munthali said as part of the implementation of the petitions the party prayed to the High Court, all concerned parties to the case, have been inspecting Regional Mec warehouses in Blantyre, Lilongwe, and Mzuzu for the past week.
Rev. Munthali said the objective was to verify if all the allegations have been levelled against Mec and Peter Mutharika are indeed real and can amount to a re- run of the presidential polls.
He said the evidence gathered or found in all the three Mec warehouses is overwhelming in addition to what the party filed with the High Court against the Presidential results as announced by Dr. Jane Ansah sc on Monday, 27th May, 2019.
The letter is saying so many ballot papers printed in Dubai were found unused and instead their were fake ballot papers allegedly printed from Fattani Printers whose counter foils indicated that they were the ballots used to vote for APM.
It said the MCP tally centre results couldn’t match with the papers found in corresponding boxes, a clear testimony that the process can go on and on.
The hearing of the much anticipated tippex election results case at the High Court will commence on 29th July and per the law requirements, the case has to be concluded with a judgement pronounced within 24 days from date of first court hearing.
Meanwhile, a voice recorded audio has gone viral on social media with a warning to Mec Lawyers to stop going into districts where the 147 electoral complaints originated.
The audio is urging Malawians of good will to detain and arrest all posing to be Mec Lawyers as the police cannot arrest them for their criminal acts.
The audio warning is coming following Presiding Officers who are meeting Mec Lawyers to sign forms which were not signed during the elections.
