By Ethel Sakala,  Mana

Three Popular Muslim artists have released a new song titled Nasheed or Chikondi.

The song preaches about love and it is already receiving positive feedback on social media.

The trio; Lilongwe based Muslim artist Adam Tiyesi , Blantyre based Ishmael Katawala and Imran Kaisi dropped the song produced by Zum Jay of Kaisi Multimedia on October 30.

In an interview with Malawi News Agency (Mana), one of the artists, Ishmael Katawala said they decided to come together to sing about love and unite people.

“We wanted to encourage people to love one another. Chikondi brings about unity and encourages citizens to work with a common goal regardless of our differences in religion, tribe and preferences,” said Katawala.

Katawala added that they came together to produce the track to urge people to let love lead and avoid meaningless misunderstandings that only divide citizens than unite them.

Part of the song says people need to function as parts of one body so that when one part is in pain, the whole body is affected and therefore, they should always be there for one another.

On his part, Adam Tiyesi, said people should expect more from this song because the song is so inspiring, teaching and beneficial in spiritual life.

One of the fans for the trio, Abdulmajeed Ntenje said he liked the message communicated in the new track.

“The combination of Katawala, Kaisi and Tiyesi never goes rejected, they impress me and this song is very good and rich in message,” said Ntenje.

Katawala then commended the fans for their continued support despite taking   quite a long time since he released an album. He therefore, promised to come up with a new track to be released soon.
