Nickson Nyasulu handed first senior national team call up

Nyasa Big Bullets FC star defender, Nickson Nyasulu has been called into the national team camp for the first time after impressive performance since joining the senior team from reserve side.

Bullets coach Callisto Pasuwa promoted Nyasulu after their captain John Lanjesi sustained a knee injury. Nyasulu and Charles Petro hav formed a formidable  partnership at Bullets central defense.


Other debutantes in the current squad are Azam Tigers Striker Chikaiko Batison and Foster Biton of Blue Eagles.


Malawi will face Lesotho twice on Friday and Sunday at Maseru Stadium.


The team will leave for Maseru on Thursday and will be joined by the foreign based players in Johannesburg, South Africa.

Goalkeepers: William Thole, Rabson Chienda, Enerst Kakhobwe, Charles Thom and Brighton Munthali.


Defenders: Nickson Nyasulu, Charles Petro, Gomezgani Chirwa, Precious Sambani, Peter Cholopi, Stainly Sanud, Denis Chembezi, Travor Kalema.


Midfielders : Mike Mkwate, Peter Banda, Chimwemwe Idana, Chimango Kaira, Isaac Kaliat, Felix Zulu, Alfred Manyozo, Micium Mhone, Chikoti Chirwa, Francisco Madinga.  Strikers : Foster Biton, Chikaiko Batson, Patrick Phiri, Hassan Kajoke.
