Mighty Tigers FC has announced the results of Covid-19 tests that were conducted on their players and officials last week.
Teams have been busy over the past few weeks testing their players and officials following the order by presidential task force on Covid 19 and Football Association of Malawi that all Super League teams members needs to undergo Covid19 tests before they start trainings.
According to their statement released today, all 37 team members that had gone for covid tests were found negative.
Here is part of their statement: “Following a directive made by the presidential task force on Covid 19 and Football Association of Malawi (FAM) that all elite league teams undergo Covid19 tests before they start their preparations for the 2020/2021 football season, a total of 30 Mighty Tigers FC players, 6 officials and 1 Media Officer went for Covid tests on October 15 2020.
“The results are now out and the club is pleased to announce that the whole team members who were 37 in total have tested negative for Covid 19”
The statement which is signed by Media Officer, Victor Singano further reminded its players and officials to continue observing all Covid 19 precautionary measures.
According to FAM the League is expected to kick off on 21st November 2020 and it will run until June 2021.
