Relegated side Ntopwa FC have been brushed aside 3-0 by Civo Service United in their last game of 2021 TNM Super League.
Innocent Tanganyika calmly fired the hosts ahead early in the first half before Muhammad Sulumba increased the lead a moment later.
Lanken Mwale completed the massacre of Amaghetto Kids in the dying minutes of the first half with a tap-in finish from close range.
Ntopwa dominated possession in the second half but they failed to get a consolation goal.
It was the second loss in 12 hours for Ntopwa who suffered another 3-0 away to Silver Strikers on Wednesday.
In his remarks Ntopwa owner and Technical Director Isaac Osman was a happy man for his boys performance despite suffering a defeat.
“am happy for my boys they have displayed beautiful football and I think to day people here in Lilongwe have watched the most beautiful football since this season started”.
Asked if he sees chances of returning back in the top flight league he said:”I have so much hope, we will return; what is needed is proper plan but it’s possible because I have so many players in U17 and U20 whom I trust to do good job”
Jomo further advised Super League Clubs to follow right procedure if interested in his players services saying transfer fees for the players will help him to have enough funds for running the affairs of his team.
In his remarks Civo Service United coach Franko Ndawa has hailed Ntopwa for having good players.
“We have won but it wasn’t easy, you could see they gave us tough time in the entire 90 minutes but we thank God for the victory. Its just unfortunate that Ntopwa has been relegated but they have quality players” said Ndawa
Ntopwa and Mzuzu Warriors were relegated to the lower division last week and one team between Chitipa United and Blue Eagles will follow them after last round of their games.
