The People’s Team beat Dwangwa United at Chitowe Stadium in their last game of the 2019 TNM Super League first round and move from sixth to second on the table.
Bullets were too good for a lacklustre Dwangwa United, securing three points at Chitowe Stadium, despite resting five players in their line up.
Nyasa Big Bullets FC end the first round campaign with 39ponts, four behind leaders Mighty Be forward Wanderers who will welcome Moyale Barracks tomorrow at Kamuzu Stadium.
Peter Banda opened the score line 8 minutes in the first half before Patrick Phiri doubled the lead 8 minutes later. Blessings singini reduced the deficit for the home side but three minutes later Banda who was voted man of the match registered his brace.
“Let me thank my players for fighting spirit, it’s not easy to score 3 goals away from home but they have managed to score and am pleased with their performance” said Mponda
In another encounter Mtopwa FC beat Moyale Barracks 4-1 at Kamuzu Stadium to move from 15th to 13th on the standings.
Hendrix Misinde, Davie Banda, Levison Makoko and Friday Osagie were on target for the home side while Deus Mkutu scored the consolation for the Kaning’ina Soldiers.
