Play Guitar Malawi club in conjunction with Afromusement entertainment has organized a guitar party scheduled for November 24 at Jacaranda Cultural Centre in Blantyre.
The event has been organized for people to learn how to play guitars and appreciate music.
Speaking in an Interview on Tuesday, one of the organizers, Wachituta Thombozi said lack of music syllabus in public schools has hindered the development of music industry adding the event has been organized to impart skills to Malawians who cannot afford private lessons.
“This show will be fantastic because we are having artist that are doing pure traditional music and others will be doing Rock, jazz, blues and other music genres,” Thombozi said.
The event will also be spiced up by different artists like Britt Ceee from Lilongwe, Andrew Kholowa from Zomba, James kuchilala also known as Malala and many others.
In an interview Malala said it has been a while since a show like this has been organized for guitarist to come together and interact.
“This is a good moment for guitarist to come together share ideas while having fun. Personally am not just excited that I will perform but that at the end of it I will learn from other performances,” said Malala.
Play Guitar Malawi club was founded by Wachituta Thombozi in 2014 as a platform for guitarists to share skills and guitar knowledge to upcoming guitarist in Malawi.
