Police Officer Stoned to death by Msundwe demonstrators

National Police spokesperson James Kadadzera has confirmed to Nation Online that the officer who was injured in clashes this morning between police and locals has died. Kadadzera however did not give identity of the deceased officer who has died in the line of duty.
Residents of Nsundwe are apparently angry with plans by President Peter Mutharika to hold his political rally today in the capital.
Police has identified the officer who was killed in cold blood today as Superintendent Usumani Imedi who was stationed at C- Company in Lilongwe. According to James Kadadzera so far 12 people have been arrested and that many more are likely to be apprehended.
