RVG releases 23 man Flames squad for Morocco Encounter

Malawi National football team coach Ronny Van Geneugden released 23man list that will face Morocco in African Cup of Nations qualifiers next week Friday.
Mighty Wanderers’ Zicco Mkanda was again left out of the squad despite having a decent season last year as flames coach opted for youthful players.
TNM super league Top goal scorer Chiukepo Msowoya, Mozambique based Striker Richard Mbulu and goalkeeper Charles Swin have also been dropped.
Blue Eagles duo of Schumacher Kuwali and Micium Mhone expected to return together with Defender Miracle Gabeya and Midfielder Gerald Phiri jnr.
Surprisingly, TN Stars forgotten defender, Ian Chinyama made the cut while Chisomo Mpachika who spent most of last season on the bench was also included.
Chikoti Chirwa, Binwell Katinji, and Enerst Kakhobwe as well as highly-expected faces such as Yamikan Chester, Gabadinho Mhango and John Banda made the list.

DEFENDERS : John Lanjesi(Nyasa Big Bullets), Stainly Sanudi(Beforward Wanderers), Gomezgani Chirwa(Civil Sporting Club), Ian Chinyama(TN Stars), Miracle Gabeya (Nyasa Big Bullets), Peter Cholopi(Beforward Wanderers), Chisomo Mpachika(Silver Strikers).
MIDFIELDERS : Chikoti Chirwa (Red Lions), John Banda(HCB Songo), Dan Kumwenda(Civil Sporting Club), Gerald Phiri jnr (Ajax Cape Town), Simeon Singa(Beforward Wanderers).
