Silver strikers has ousted Nyasa big bullets in the quarter final of Fisd challenge cup 4-3 through penalties after 1-1 draw in the full time on sutarday at Bingu National Stadium in Lilongwe.

Bullets put the the bankers under siege in the early minutes of the first half through their deadly winger Peter banda after Mike mkwate fails to finish his cross range by shooting over the bar.

Banda continues shaking the bankers defence when his powerful shot in the edge of 18 yard box denies by bankers shot stopper Brighton Munthali who saves it over the bar before Chiukepo Msowoya miss a golden opportunity after Banda’s cross in side the box.

The Bankers tries to build an attack when Khuda Mayawa Frick on header goes over the bar in the 36 minutes into the match.

Bullets center forward Hassan Kanjoke put his side on the lead when he struck inside two minutes into the second half after silver’s shot stopper make a blunder in the box.

Striker strikers Mark Fodya, Duncan Nyoni and Thusso Paipi scores their penalties while Khuda Mayawa and Young Chimodzi Jnr misses. Bullets Fisher Kondowe and Charles Petro scores while Gomezani Chirwa, Sankhani Nkhandawire and Dalitso Sailesi misses.

Nyasa big bullets assistant coach Peter Mponda says, we lost concentration and we relax so when you relax you lose concentration and you get published, ” says Mponda.

Abbasi Makawa silver strikers mentor says, ” it was a tight and difficult game because bullets wants to win the game but i told my players that we are playing at our home so we afford to lose the game. ”
