Michael Tete score two goals while Khuda Mayawa and Maxwell Gasten score single goal each as silver strikers qualify to the quarterfinal of Fisd challenge cup after beating Mlatho Mponela 4-0 on Surtday at silver stadium in Lilongwe.

Tete give silver a breathing space through a penalty after Mlatho’s defender handed the ball in the box before Muyawa streacth his side lead 2-0 with a press from Duncan Nyoni’s cross in the 44 minutes.
Tete could could have score a hat trick after receiving diagonal pass from Young Chimodzi Jnr but Mlatho’s defender Mustafa Maulana tuckle him down that makes the refree Alfred Kamphamtengo to show him a red card.
Mlatho come back from the game after the break through Ferguson Mtondo’s power shot hit the post after receiving pass from Jafali Chande.
Gasten struck inside 68 minutes with connection through Nyoni’s cross before tete locked the door and throw away the keys with a fantastic shot the ball hit the corner of the net in the 93 minutes.
Silver strikers coach Abbasi Makawa says the it was a difficult game because Mlatho were well prepared.
”Am very satisfied with the performance of my players and we are looking forward to the semi-final, ”says Makawa.
In his part Mlatho Mponela’ s team manager Blessings Makanjira says we gave them time and spaces in the midfield that make them attack us.
”And i also blame the officiation for the poor decision especially the red card that shows our player because it wasn’t a faul but it was a colide,” says Makanjira.
Silver strikers will face Nyasa big bullets in the semi-final after bullets defeated Karonga united 4-2 in the post match penalties after a 1-1 draw in full time.
