Blue Eagles Football Club attacking midfielder, Vitumbiko Kumwenda has arrived in Blantyre to complete a move to Be Forward Wanderers.
Kumwenda has been a long term target for the Lali Luban outfit who gave him a three year contract few months ago but the move collapsed due to misunderstanding over the price of the player.
After Blue Eagles rejected K2.5million bid from Wanderers, Supporters Committee General Secretary Samuel Mponda announced through his page that the team decided to withdraw interest to sign the player.
Kumwenda decided to terminate the contract but the move was turned down by the Football Association of Malawi who ordered him to stay at the Area 30 until he pay the buyout clause of K3.5million on his contract.
On Friday the player announced that he deposited K3.5million to Blue Eagles and he asked FAM a clearance to join the Blantyre outfit.
This afternoon the player was spotted at Kamuzu Stadium where he was watching Be Forward Wanderers 4-1 victory over Mtopwa football club.
Expected to sign for Wanderers
The deal means they have successfully fought off interest from Silver Strikers to sign the left footed player.
