Lilongwe-based Clement Mwakenenge has emerged a winner of New Finance Bank’s Moto Buu promotion’s grand price.
Two others Gustino Roben and Ronenex Lazaro have won K100,000 and K50,000 as second and third prices respectively.
Speaking after the draw in the capital Lilongwe on Thursday, Chief Commercial Officer for New Finance Bank Bernard Mkandawire described the promotion as successful.
Mkandawire said the promotion has helped to strengthen relationship between themselves and their customers in which they have now accumulated 55,000 customers from the 38,000 they had before the promotion.
“On the deposits, we are now at almost K47 billion from K38 billion. We are not taking this achievement for granted,” Mkandawire said.
He promised that NFB shall continue growing its footprint through the generation of innovative customer centred banking products and solutions.
“With as little as K20,000 in saving , our customers were able to win K100,000 months prizes. Keeping that same amount in the account for three months made then automatically a possible winner of the K1 million”, Mkandawire said.
Moto Buu promotion was launched in August 2018 and over 97 winners in cash and bank name-branded T-shirts. For one to qualify, they had had to make a deposit of K20,000 and immediately the system entered them into the competition.
