Africa’s renown great orator and historian fighting for realism of Africans, Kenyan Professor Patrick Lumumba, says he has the intention of asking the Malawi President, Dr. Lazarus Chakwera, to be in the forefront of the leadership and independence of a new Africa.
Prof. Lumumba said the continent of Africa needs something new for within Africa, there is gold and silver and other precious minerals which are only waiting to be unleashed by great thinkers who think that Africans are the cradle of mankind, one of them being Dr. Chakwera.
But, social media commentators in Malawi have advised Prof. Lumumba to meet Bantu Saunders Jumah, the Utopian himself first before meeting President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera on how best to Magulify Malawi and the continent of Africa saying Malawi has gold and silver only awaiting to be unleashed by a leader who thinks outside the box.
The commentators say in Saunders Jumah, there is something that nobody can touch, his wisdom can inspire all African leaders to live with the icons of Thomas Sankara, Emperor Haile Selasie, Kwame Nkrumah, Martin Luther King, Bantu Steven Biko, Samora Machel, John Pombe Magufuli and Muammar Gadaffi for Africa to be united and be totally free from colonizers and foreign influences which have resulted to human sufferings in Africa.
They have expressed hope and confidence that Prof. Lumumba will respect their views to meet first Bantu Saunders Jumah before proceeding to Malawi to meet President Dr. Chakwera, as in Jumah there is the real ubunthu, African realism and no wonder he is the Utopian himself.
Speaking on Pan-African Television last Wednesday night monitored by a Kenyan journalist, Yongo wa Yongo, Prof. Lumumba hailed President Dr. Chakwera for the most powerful tribute delivered in Dodoma, Tanzania describing it as ever made to an African leader.
Prof. Lumumba said President Dr. Chakwera’s eulogy is a funeral oration which history must record as one of the greatest funeral orations of all the time.
In his eulogy in Dodoma-Tanzania in front of other African leaders in attendance, President Dr. Chakwera described the departed, Dr. John Joseph Pombe Magufuli as not an icon for Africa but a hero saying they did not know Magufuli is coming.
…”I am not discounting the other African leaders that attended the funeral of Magufuli in Tanzania, but the eulogy of the Malawi President has touched something, that nobody touched…”
Prof. Lumumba said all the African leaders prepared their eulogies to be delivered to the bereaved family of the departed soul of Magufuli, the people of Tanzania and the continent of Africa, but the Malawi President spoke from his heart and everyone else was deeply touched.
The Professor added that whether one likes the Malawi President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera or not, they should go and listen to him, read his speeches once more, for he captured the essence of the Magufuli that he met, the Magufuli that he knew, the Magufuli who loved Africa, saying Africa needs to be vindicated by President Dr. Chakwera’s speech in Tanzania.
