Speaking during a meeting with the business committee held at the community Development hall in the district, Officer in Charge for Ntchisi police station, Deputy Commissioner of Police ( DCP), Edward Chingaipe, asked the stakeholders to work hand in hand with the police in security issues during this festive season.
Chingaipe called on the stakeholders to sit down whenever their are disagreements between police officers and the general public other than resorting to mob justice.
He also advised the business members to lead by example by avoiding committing offences as this will destroy them and their business.
In his remarks, Ntchisi police station’s Community Policing coordinator, Inspector Lloyd Maida, advised the business committee members that whenever they are going out for enjoyment, they should make sure that they left someone at home.
Maida also advised them not to leave things like axes, ladders, and any breaking tools outside their houses whenever they go to bed saying criminals make use of them to commit crimes.
Speaking earlier, the Vice chairperson for Ntchisi business committee, Ian Dyson Pondani, thanked the management of Ntchisi police station for crime prevention tips which they will use during this festive season.
